Franck’s is no exception. Tucked away among what looks like a small forest in Holladay (a suburb of Salt Lake City) is a cozy 50-seat charming restaurant with a French touch. An elegant dining experience awaits. Walking past the fresh herb garden along the cobblestone walkway, it opens up to the most charming patio with a fountain, bistro lighting, umbrella covered seating and pine trees surrounding you. Inside you’ll find it intimate and cozy.
To start, the service is outstanding. The servers are very knowledgeable about each dish’s flavor palette, which is incredibly unique. Executive Chef Robert Perkins combines such common ingredients to create amazing flavors such as a berry compote, lavender and blueberry sauce on their Franck’s Meatloaf. It’s so good you can’t stop eating it and wished you saved room for dessert. The appetizers are to die for and I could have just eaten every one of them and forgone the main dish. Their brussels sprouts burst with flavors of tarragon, 12 month aged parmesan, sherry vinegar and toasted almonds. I promise you, you’ll want to eat the entire dish by yourself.
Their cocktail and wine list is extensive and impressive, and pairs well with any dish you order. Of course there is dessert. By the time you’re finished engulfing culinary heaven, you may explode, just a warning, but I promise you it’s worth every bite!
I’ve heard of Franck’s for years and finally got the chance to experience it, which now hits very close to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Salt Lake City! Next time you’re there, I urge you to visit Franck’s, you will not be disappointed.
